Dear Maurizio, Having read your comments about travertine as a countertop I have one question about it. I love the turkish travertine, using a honed surface would the etching from a acidic product leave a dark stain or light mark ? I have to tried to find a granite that would mimic the look of a old surface to no avail. I am drawn to the marble rojo alente which would be a even worse choice. but I mention it so you can see the colors I am interested it. I have a 1930's house and would like a reddish used looking countertop. I hope I didn't raise your bloodpressure. do you know of a granite that would look similar? I have done a lot of looking. it has to be a natural stone. thanks much jeanne
Dear Jeanne:

Neither: just duller than the rest.

No problem with my blood pressure, here. It's just that I am a lousy interior decorator and I'm (25%) colorblind to boot!

Sorry, no can do!
