Cultured Marble Stain

We have a bathroom vanity top of cultured marble which has a water ring (white) ring stain from a paper cup condensation. Nothing we have used so far has removed the circle. The top is black & white. Since it is CULTURED marble, is there something you can recommend? It appears the stone was polished but perhaps never sealed. Can we save it? It also spots from water drops.... Thank you.

Dear Jacqueline:

One of the things that really upset me, is when I see consumers like you that they were not informed by their dealer what “cultured marble” (whatever that means) is all about.

They actually think it's marble!

It appears the stone was polished but perhaps never sealed.

No, the “stone” was never polished. Your “stone” is, plain and simple, a piece of plastic.

You should get back to the people who sold it to you and ask for advice. I really don't know much about plastic manmade materials.

Ciao and good luck,

Maurizio Bertoli
