Marble

I am a tile installer and recently installed marble tile that the customer picked out.Are pits in marble tile common? If so can they be filled and honed after installation?

Dear Robert:

Are pits in marble tile common?

Not really common, but certain few marbles could have pits. It also depends on the grading of the stone.

If so can they be filled and honed after installation?

Absolutely. By using polyester glue (improperly called epoxy) and providing that you know what you're doing… J
