travertine tile in bathroom and other places

I have travertine with holes in bath & shower and shinny travertine in entrance and kitchen,How do I clean it, what can i use besides water. How do i disinfect the shower?

Dear Deb bie:

First of all you want to make sure that you fill every last hole in your shower stall. Not only is it not sanitary to keep them open, but water will find its way behind and under your tiles with consequences that will only lead to the ripping out of the entire installation. Once the holes are properly filled, you will not need to disinfect your shower stall. Just clean it properly with the right products.

The real bad news, however, is the polished travertine floor in the kitchen. I sincerely hope that you use the kitchen sparingly without a lot of cooking and with no kids around, because, if not, it is going to be a maintenance nightmare.
