Kahmir Gold Care

I am about to have kashmir gold granite (If it truly is a granite) installed in my kitchen. I intend to conduct the lemon test to see if it needs to be sealed or not but have become confused by all the opinions out there on sealers as well as daily cleaners. Some have said to only continue using the same sealer my fabricator used initally. Any advice you have for this type of granite would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dear George:

Personally they could not pay enough to get Kashmir in my kitchen, especially considering the way my wife and I use our countertops. The last time I checked, for some reason the manufacturers of that “sponge” (granulite) did not get the technology of resining their slabs, which is a process that would permanently seal that stone. A good impregnating sealer like MB-4 could help, but just help.
