Travertine pavers for coping, URGENT

Hi Maurizio, We are building a pool and using 12x6 travertine pavers for coping. My installer is recommending the paver to go against each other totally close together, but the pools I have seen they all have a bit of space with the grout. I reaaly would recommend your feedback as I need to make a decision by tomorrow morning (saturday) as they are coming to install the coping. Thank you very much in advance. ELizabeth

Dear Elizabeth:

I hope my answer doesn't come in too late.

There's nothing wrong doing what the installer suggests. Actually, it is even better then grouting and having to deal with the inevitable problems that grout near a pool will eventually develop.

Just make sure that they will not try to convince you to apply some useless (under the circumstances) sealer to your stone – not even if they use the one that I make! J

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Mauri zio Bertoli
