Black Galaxy doctored

I have a consult with a person with water rings on her black galaxy. It is not granite that we installed, it came on furniture ordered from Georgia. I have read your post about water rings on Black Galaxy. Is there a way to remove the stain (black) in the Black galaxy, (acetone wiped on the surface did not bring up any color). I have printed the article and will pass it on to the customer. thanks, B Quirke

Dear B:

Acetone will seldom do anything. The “masters” of malicious doctoring have gotten so good that their “magic shoe-shine” is resistant to most solvent. It is not resistant to acids, though.

Soak it with a solution of water an phosphoric acid. That'll do it.

Needless to say, if marblecleaning.org could have its ways, situations like this one would not exist. But we can't do anything by ourselves. We need the support of the consumers to succeed. On that spirit…

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Mauri zio Bertoli
