Can I paint the black slate/flag stone floor in my foyer? |
Article Number: 1685 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Tue, Dec 23, 2008 at 12:00 AM |
Q: Can slate/flag stone be painted? If so, with what? It is roughly 30-35 years old.
A: You can paint slate/flag stone, but it will eventually peel and wear and you will have to repaint it. The best paint to use would be a paint for masonry which you can pick up at most of the home centers or paint stores. Be sure the stone is cleaned thoroughly prior to painting.
