seam trouble

Q.I had cosmic black granit installed and am unhappy with joint in that they did nothing to match color and in fact cut right through a beige area and put right up against black area. The fabricator said this piece could not be taken out without breaking the piece right next to it and would be a domino effect throughout the kitchen. Is this true and would a good fabricator try to match color at joints?
A.Hi Chris-It sounds like you are concerned about the match of two different slabs. It doesnt appear to be an issue with the quality of the joint itself. As far as the matching up of the two slabs thats should have been explored prior to the install.Picking and working with a quality fabricator is as far as we are concerned the most important part of the whole process. As far as redoing the countertop I dont have enough info to render any advice in that area.Get a second opinion from a well known reliable fabricator in your area
and take it from there. You should post this question on the stoneadvice forum. It is a stone fabricator forum.
