cleaning marble

Q.can you recommend a product which will clean a dirty white marble graveyard memorial the local stone mason sasid they use hydrochloric acid but you cannot buy this over the counter. any help much appreciated.
A.Hi-marble is an acid sensitive product.Cleaning it with acid will etch the stone and open the pores making it easier to be soiled.Try using a high alkaline heavy duty stone specific cleaner like our mb-2.
Depending on the amount of soil dilute it following the instructions and use a spray bottle to spray it on the stone.Use a firm brush to agitate it on the stone.(make sure the brush doesnt damage the stone) It is very important to let the chemical dwell on the stone and keep it wet.Rinse and repeat.
Please be mindful of the surounding area such as plants
and shrubs that may come in contact with the chemical.
