Remove sticky residue from limestone hearth

Q.I have a limestone hearth to which we attached safety bumpers while our children were getting older. The bumpers were recently removed and left behind is a very stick residue. As I have no idea how to remove this, nothing has yet been done. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Q.Hi Tami- Try some acetone and a single edge razor blade.
Acetone is a sovent so wear gloves and protect any surface
that you may drip on.
The trouble with limestone is the absorbency. It is possible that the adhesive may have stained the stone.
It can be poulticed out.
Please feel free to see our web site care guide for poulticing info if you need it.
