removing a granite countertop

Q.Please help, I want my husband to remove the granite countertop to install a built in range and reuse the granitetop again. He tells me that it is not possible because of the epoxy holding it down, my question is it possible to remove the epoxy safely without damaging the countertop? Thank you in advance.
A. It is very possible to do this. I dont install tops so my only comment can be is to call a fabricater and have it done by a pro.
