Granite sealing

I am an installer of granite counter-tops. Worked for a large company before that would not take time to look into issues, but am now on my own and would like to take the time to do so now. I have had problems with Amarello Veneciano feeling gritty after the install (about 2-3 days) like sand was on the surface. I have now had the same with another color called Sage Berry Green (45). Is that something the sealer is doing or something I am doing. Thanks

None of the above. It is simply that certain slabs are of a lower grading than others, and those two particular stones can be susceptible to that grittiness.

As long as the stone industry will not clean its act and classify the different stones for what they actually are instead of these illegal general classifications of “marble”, “granite”, etc. and establish precise criteria for a mandatory grading of the different stones, this kind of confusion will always be there.
