Granite stain

Yesterday I installed 12" Desert Gold Granite tiles as a kitchen backsplash. I used AcrylPro tile adhesive on the advice of Home Depot employees. 24 hours later, tiles still look wet and darker than normal. I am concerned that they may be permanently stained. I am terribly upset to say the least. Any words of encouragement???

Dear Karen:

Quite frankly I don't know what to tell you. I'm not familiar with that product at all. If it is strictly water-based, then chances are that the darkening of the stone is going to be only temporary; but if there are other ingredients of an oily or acrylic nature (like the name suggests), then it could be permanent. Therefore I can honestly tell you words of encouragement. The only ones who could are the folks at the customer service department of the manufacturer of the product. My best word of advice is for you to contact them and see what they have to say.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm? J

Ciao and good luck,
