Limestone counter top maintenace

Q.I am considering limestone for my kitchen counter top but am concerned about the removal of the minerals that may accumulate around the base of the faucet. Can they be removed safely? I read on your website that scaping with a razor was recommeded - any other suggestions? Thank you, Linda
A.Hi Linda-Yep the razor works great. No other suggestions but please know that limestone is acid sensitive material and some are quite porous.
It will require professional maintenance from time to time.  As long as you are aware of the pros and cons of the stone your about to place in your kitchen then you will be ok. I see lots of limestones in kitchens some people very happy some not.
