Bright yellow stains in travertine |

Hi Maurizio, I bought two pieces of travertine at a second hand shop. They had all kinds of stains, that I was able to remove using Iron Out. However, one of the stones shows bright yellow stains, maybe effluorescence when it dries out. I do not recall seeing these stains before I treated it with Iron Out. The stains disappear when the stone is wet. Thanks for your help. Maria
Dear Maria:
No, it can't be efflorescence, but I don't know what it is. However, if it disappears when wet, the application of a good-quality stone color-enhancer like MB-6 will give you permanently the same “disappearing act”. Just bear in mind that it will only give you the depth of color, not any sheen.
May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at:

Ciao and good luck,
Mauri
