Marble floor restoration |
Article Number: 137 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Fri, Jun 29, 2007 at 12:00 AM |
I have spoken (so far) with three different companies who do marble floor "restoration". Many different opinions. I would like to know more about the material used to fill holes in the floor. None of the reps know how to spell it, but do say it smells bad & I am concerned about the fumes harming my pets while the material is being applies. Thank you
Dear Susanne:
The description of your problem is scarce to say the least. I will try to guess.
Are you perhaps making reference to a few holes in your marble that have to be filled and they're talking about epoxy or polyester filler?
Or are you talking about a travertine floor and they're perhaps talking about specific filler called “Travefill”?
Whatever that is, if it is polyester filler or epoxy and you're concerned for you pets, keep them out of the house until they're finished using it.
Ciao and good luck,
Mauri
