How to remove wood stain from Travertine

We bought a foreclosure house that has some beautiful Travertine floors with tumble finish. But in one spot some wood stain was apparently spilled (I imagine this must happen frequently in homes with Travertine floors when contractors are sloppy about staining cabinets, doors, wood floors and such). I purchased your "No-nonsense Guidelines to Stain Removal." Will these methods work for wood stain? If so, would the wood stain come under the "inorganic" or "oily" classification? P.S. We have been using your stone wipes, MB-1, and MB-5 products - they work great.

 

Dear Dave:

Try to poultice it out with a potent paint stripper based on Methylene Chloride that's available at any paint store. Do follow all precautionary directions printed on the container of the product: that stuff is nasty!
