Granite finish (restoration) Problem

Hi Maurizio I read your answers all the time and always like what you write.Recently I removed lippage from a granite floor and I ended up with an orange peel kind of finish after I polished. I did grind up to 8500 wet grind. Some mineral got loose and there is tiny pits. I don't mind to grind again if I have to, but if you can suggest anything that you might sell or I should get to maybe fix my problem. Any help from you is greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike ( Don't know the name of the granite, but it is on the greens with some brown with light grey vein in it.)

About your problem, if that's the way that “granite” reacts to field-grinding, there's not much that you can do to solve it.

In the factories they're not on planet Earth. With all the tricks of the trade they can put together (sticking, resining, etc.), they can perform “miracles” on certain stones.

Unfortunately, we common mortals have no possibility to use the same technology (which would imply the same type of machinery) down here on our little blue planet, and hence… L
