Travertine cleaning

We just laid 18x18 dark travertine how do we get the floor to look clean, and not blochey? Have cleaned with sponge, not grouted. It looks like dirty spots everywhere. Thank you bill

Dear Bill:

For starters, expecting to have travertine with a uniform finish is like expecting to have Swiss cheese with not holes. The filler that the factory uses to fill the natural of travertine will never get shiny.

Second, you mentioned that you clean the surface of the tiles with a sponge, but you didn't say what was in the sponge. I'm sure that the sponge was soaked with something, right?

Answer that question for me and then we'll take it from there.

In the meantime, may I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Mauri zio Bertoli
