Seagrass limestone

Q. UGG! I just found your wesite, but have already pruchased Seagrass honed limestone. Yes, I read all of the negative comments about limestone. I am going to use it in a bathroom shower and vanity counter. The Seagrass limestone has bits of shells and fossils in it and is pale green/gray. Do you know anything about this honed limestone?

A. This is what is known as an oolithic limestone and it should work fine for this application as long as you seal it and maintain it properly. You can find more information on it at the following site  http://www.luxuryhousingtrends.com/archives/2005/11/seagrass_limest.php
