Marble Cleaning - Dull table tops

Q. My tables are very dull and I would like to know what I can use that will cleaning my marble coffee tables. I heard you can use hydrogen peroxide but I am not sure. It is black.

A. You will want to clean your marble table tops with a good stone safe neutral, or slightly alkaline cleaner such as MB Stonecare MB-5. (You can get it at: www.mbstonecare.com)

However, dullness on marble surfaces is not because of being dirty. More often than not it is a result of etching caused by wrong cleaning products. If a cleaning product that is acidic is used, the marble will become etched and dull. You will need to have them polished by a professional if you want to restore that nice high polished look. After you do have them polished, just be sure to avoid any acidic spills or cleaning solutions.

We recommend that you locate a restoration pro in your area by going to www.stoneandtilepros.com/findapro.php.
