marble surround

Q.I have a white residue on my black marble surround. when I wipe it it comes off then it reappears. what do you think it is and how can I clean it.
A.Sounds like sealer residue.Get some denatured alcohol or acetone at home depot and wipe the residue off for good.If you cant get it off call a pro in.
