Limestone Floor Disaster |
Article Number: 1745 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Tue, Mar 17, 2009 at 12:00 AM |
A.FRENCH BURGUNDY LIMESTONE FLOORS THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE...CLEANER HAS USED COMBINATION OF CIF (A SOFT SCRUB BATHROOM CLEANER WITH BLEACH) AND "KOSLO" A DETERGENT FOR CLOTHES WASHING THAT HAS A LIGHT BLEACH IN IT... FLOOR IS NOW STREAKED AND SPOTTED AND SURFACE PATINA GONE... AND THE FLOOR IS IN ISTANBUL TURKEY... ANY SUGGESTIONS, ASIDE FROM THE TEARS WHICH ARE NOT WORKING!
A.Hi and I am sorry to hear about your floor. The good news is it can be repaired.I assume the soft scrub dulled the floor and the koslo etched it.You will need a bona fide stone refinisher to fix the problem by resurfacing the floor. Its not as drastic as it sounds but you will need someone with experience. there is no miracle in a bottle to solve this damage. Please let us know how you make out.If we can be of further assistance please feel free to contact us @mail@mbstone.com
