Article Number: 1861 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Wed, Jul 22, 2009 at 12:00 AM |
Q.We built our house about 5years ago. Using a slab foundation. We installed 18" Travertine tiles in the Kitchen and Baths. a membrane was not used between the tile and the slab. The slab has cracked and the tile cracked with it in many location. I save about 15 tiles incase this happend, but now 15 tiles is not enough. Can these cracks be repaired like Marble or Granite?
Gilbert- If they are structural no they cant be fixed. If it is random tiles then yes they can. You need a bona fide stone refinisher to evaluate the situation.
