black galaxy granite

We purchased black galaxy granite tiles to install for our kitchen backsplash. How can we ensure that the tiles are indeed black galaxy granite and not something else such as gray galaxy?

If the tiles are consistently black with only golden specks and don't react funny if you spill lemon juice onto them, you can be pretty sure that you have the “good stuff”.

Do not apply any impregnator (a.k.a. sealer to them), just learn how to take care of your stone and enjoy!
