Peperino Stone |
Article Number: 59 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Sat, Jun 2, 2007 at 12:00 AM |
Hi, I'm in Italy at the present time and really love the Peperino stone they use here to accent their homes! It is used primarily,on window sills or thresholds, as well as mantels. I live in Pasadena, California and was wondering if you have this kind of stone or know where I can find it in the States. Any information you can provide me with, would be greatly appreciated! Thank You! Sincerely, Angela De Paolis
Dear Angela:
I'm Italian, I lived in Italy the first 36 years of my life, I started foolin' around with stone since I was 15, but I never even heard of such Peperino stone.
Maybe in the part of Italy I come from (Parma - 1 hours South of Milan) it's called with a different name.
Or maybe it's just a local stone they have and use in the part of Italy you're currently visiting...
Where I come from (and in most parts of Italy, to the best of my knowledge) they use mostly White Carrara marble for window sills and thresholds
Sorry... :-(
Ciao and good luck,
Maurizio Bertoli
