Carerra Marble (honed floor tiles and polished c’tops)

I recently remodeled a condo for sale. I used white venatino honed carerra tiles on the bath floors and polished white carerra countertops. Unfortunately, the cleaning people used windex on the counters and there are lots of smokey looking spots. The honed floor tiles have some water stains (and possibly some cleaner stains). From what I have read on your site, I think you would tell we to use the MB-5 cleaner on the honed tiles and then seal them with MB-4. I have no idea what to do with the countertops. Neither. There's no such a thing like a “water stain”. All you have are acid etching caused by the use of the wrong cleaner. You can “clean” them off with a stone cleaer; you can prevent them with a sealer for stone, either. It's just the nature of the beast.

However, the hone-finished damaged tiles can be restored by using metal-grade sandpaper (a few grits until you blend in with the factory finish, of close enough to that); while the polished top, if it is a question of a few etchings you could use a good-quality Marble Repair Kit. If it is more than a few etching, however, you will need the services of a bona-fide stone restoration contractor.
