Damaged (etched) Marble inlay on coffee table

I had a water ring on my coffee table and I called a marble company and they sent me this refinishing kit. I used it, but it doesn't have the mirror like finish as it did before. What do you recommend I use? It is black marble with white veins. Thanks

Dear Tricia:

  1. Not all marble repair kits are created equal.
  2. Black marble is among the most difficult stones to polish. (I know of a few stone restoration contractors who decline black marble jobs.)

I guess that at this point you will need to hire a pro.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Maurizio Bertoli
