damaged honey onyx

Our master bath has honey onyx 12x12 floor tiles. This is new construction and during the con struction of the home these tiles have become discolored in various areas. By discolored I mean that the tiles have areas that look like hard water marks lying on the surface. I have been unable to clean test areas or polish out. I am wondering if these areas can be removed by a professional through polishing or other treatment. None of the areas appear to be etched into the tiles very deeply, if etched at all. Thanks for your help.

Dear Robert:

None of the areas appear to be etched into the tiles very deeply, if etched at all.

Whether it's light or severe or in between, it must be etching, alright.

Yes, a bona fide stone restoration contractor should be able to re-polish your damaged tiles with very little effort. (Which doesn't mean little money, though!… J )

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
