Marble top table |
Article Number: 991 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Fri, Jan 4, 2008 at 12:00 AM |
We are thinking of purchasing a marble top dining room table. I was wondering about the scratch factor and whether or not this was a smart choice. How delicate of a stone is this, as far as everyday use? Will it get ruined, chipped, scratched? thank you.
Dear Crissy:
If you're concerned that your marble top should keep looking brand-new all the time, then your choice is not advisable.
Marble will scratch and, most disturbing of all, being that like all calcite-based stones is sensitive to acidic spills, it will get etched just about every single day.
May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at:

Ciao and good luck,
