Dear Gerry Lynn:
It boils down to credibility.
Either you believe the almost totality of the other guys, or you believe me, who, incidentally, just so happens to be the manufacturer of one of the best impregnating sealers on the marketplace.
I base my statements on science and many years (over 40, alas) of hands-on experience. Not only does polished travertine not absorb anything – which makes it non-sealable – (and that is science), but I never witnessed (and I never even heard of) a single stain in polished travertine (which is hands-on experience that confirms the science). Hone-finished travertine may (and only may, depending on the stone and/or the batch) absorb something, but depending where it is installed, it still may not need any sealing (is the room where it is installed subject to spillage of discoloring agents?)
So, as you can see, instead of blindly embracing “golden” marketing rules that are easy to remember and the sell, I prefer to spend some time to study my stuff and look at the facts, and then draw my conclusions based upon my findings. And then tell consumers what's good for them and their stone.
Everybody is also preaching to seal every stone in sight outdoors. It is a fact – not my opinion – that it could be a big mistake; yet the “ministers” of the “sealing cult” keep preaching it left and right by implying and promoting a “protection” that just does not exist, because it can't exist…
What can I tell you?... Within the “new religion” of the “sealing cult” I feel like an atheist!
But just out of curiosity, do you have even the slightest idea of what a sealer for stone does and how it works, when it can work, and, consequently, the kinds of benefits (if any) that you can expect from such group of products?
May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at:

Ciao and good luck,
