White Kashmir Granite Floor Tiles

Hi Maurizio, I purchased 12x12 White Kashmir floor tiles for my bathroom floor. I used a white thinset purchased at Home Depot especially for Granite & Stone. As I was installing the tile, I noticed it becoming dark. Have you heard of this happening? Should I have sealed it prior to installation? Now that it is installed, which of your products would you recommend I seal it with? Thank you for your help. Gayle

Dear Gayle:

As I was installing the tile, I noticed it becoming dark. Have you heard of this happening?

With a “sponge” like Kashmir that's normal, alright, and I've heard it all the time. Give it plenty of time and it will go back to its original color.

Should I have sealed it prior to installation?

No it would have made things worse, as a matter of fact.

which of your products would you recommend I seal it with?

MB-4. But not any time before it dries completely and goes back to its original color. Only then will you be able to apply the impregnator.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
