There are not and there could be not standards as specific as determining where the holes for the faucets should go.
It all depends on the stone and the width of the strip where the faucets are supposed to go.
Verde Butterfly (charnockite) is extremely fragile, and if the strip is really narrow, the probability of cracking can indeed be high.
So, at the end of the day, it's a judgment call that you have to make with your fabricator.
Just make sure that they properly rodded the two strips before and behind the sink.
