quartzite in a bathroom shower

Hi Maurizio I am looking at 1 x 6 brick quartzite tile(shower floor) and 4x4 quartzite tile (shower wall). Would you use quartize in a shower? If so do you seal quartzite? Will the bottom part of the shower (floor and walls) where the water hits look darker/wet as compared to the higer parts of the shower stall. Would a shower in natural stone tend to mold more than a shower of porclein tile

Dear Joan:

Would you use quartize in a shower?

Only if they pay me lots of money to get it. After that, instead of installing it in my shower, I would try to sell the stuff on eBay!

Would a shower in natural stone tend to mold more than a shower of porclein tile

First off, it depends on the natural stone you select. Second, and even more important, it depends on the installation. In the almost totality of instances, when there's a development of mildew, it is because of a faulty installation – not the stone itself.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
