sealer on bluestone interior walls

There is far too much dust in my house from exposed walls of rough cut bluestone. What is the best way to seal interior walls of bluestone without painting them and having them shine too much, thanks lisa

Dear Lisa:

You mean to say that the bluestone walls keep releasing dust all the time?...

Hmmm… It shouldn't.

At any rate, I would suggest you to apply a hard-shell topical sealer based on urethane. You can find it at any paint store and is the very same they use to coat hardwood floors with. It comes in shiny, satin and flat finish.

Just keep in mind that it might enhance the overall color of the stone making it darker, as if it were wet.

Finally, I want to make very clear that I only recommend the application of a product like that because it is an indoor wall. I would never recommend it on a floor or outdoors.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
