polished pink granite flooring

There were rust stains on the granite floor. I removed the stains with a rust remover however it left dull spots on the granite. The granite is still smooth to the touch however it has loss its sheen.

Dear Lorraine :

If you read the label of the rust remover you used, you will read that it contains Hydrofluoric Acid (HF). It is the only acid that can damage granite.

Of course, the damage can be repaired, but only a proficient stone restoration contractor will be able to do that by slightly grinding (honing) and then polishing the damaged areas of your floor to match the surrounding factory finish.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
