granite polishing

The black granite (absolute I think) in our bathroom looks like the person who was finishing it left for work and never returned the next day complete the job. Half of it is beautifully shiny, and the other half is dull. I have tried mb 5 and it doesn't help. (It works beautifully on every other piece of granite in the house) I don't know where the granite was purchased, as we are not the original owners of the house. We are very handy and were wondering if there is something that you would recommend that we try before calling in the professionals. Thank you! Joan and Dan Showalter

Dear Joan:

No cleaner or so-called stone polish will ever polish any stone, let alone black “granite”, which is the most difficult of them all to polish!

Which also exclude the possibility that you could do it yourself. L

Unfortunately, if you're lucky enough to find a professional stone restoration contractor who knows how to face polish granite, that is going to be your only option.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
