Hi, I hope you can help me. I purchased a vanity with a black granite galaxy top. i have had it approx 1.5 years. I recently noticed a ring and several drops in the stone which appears to be from a jewelry cleaner that was on the vanity. I tried lemon juice, lightly rubbing with brillo, the granite cleaner i have and nothing works. can you recommend something to me or did what i do make it worse? I love the vanity and the top was made with it, i do not want it to be stained. Also, from reading your site, i know now not to seal any black granite. is this correct or is it just galaxy? Thank you.

No black “granite” (Black Galaxy included) can be technically sealed. That said, what you have is a mark of corrosion that the particular acidity of the jewelry cleaner have caused by becoming in contact with your stone's surface.

Only a proven stone restoration professional could repair that kind of surface damage.
