Polishing Rough cut travertine stone

Muarizio, my client wants me to polish a flamed travertine stone they are going to use as a fountian, the stone has pits valleys and rough edges what do you recommend.

Dear Michael:

what do you recommend

I highly recommend that you decline the job.

First off, unless you're extremely proficient at doing stone restoration, there's no way that you could do the job right – not to mention that it would cost dramatically more than buying new tiles. Second (of perhaps first again…) it is a totally dumb idea to use polished travertine in a fountain: the polish will last no more than a few weeks.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Maurizio Bertoli
