We recently had Turkish, filled & honed travertine tiles laid in our kitchen. Two weeks later a small holes appeared in a couple of the tiles, which have now grown large enough for me to put the end of my finger into. Can you tell me what I can do about this - are the tiles faulty or the installation, and might it happen to the rest of my floor tiles ? Thank you.

The installation has nothing to do with it. The problem you're reporting is very common with low-grading travertine from Turkey. You can fill the holes either with unsanded grout. Keep on the thick side and push it deep inside the holes. Or you can opt latex-based siliconized color-matching caulking material. That one too has to be pushed as deep into the holes as possible.
