stone cleaning in shower stall

I have two stone showers I nedd to clean. One is Marble and the other is travertine. What type of cleaners should I use? Does the travertine and or the marble showers need to sealed? If so what should I use? Thank you, Ralph

Dear Ralph:

The typical soiling that you may find in a shower stall are soap film accumulation and mineral deposit, as well, occasionally, mildew.

For the soap film and mineral deposits you need a specific heavy-duty alkaline cleaner with chelates in its formula (heavy-duty only with no chelates = no removal of soap and minerals) rated “for natural” stone, like MB-3.

If you also have to deal with some mildew, then you will need a mildew stain remover rated “for natural stone” like MB-9.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
