MOSS growing between marble

Q. I have a tumbled marble pool deck which is two years old (in south Florida). Lately moss has been growing from the cracks between the marble where sand had been placed when it was completed. How do I remove and how to prevent?
Thanks!

A. To kill the moss you will want to use a solution of about a cup of bleach in a gallon of water. To prevent further growth, you will want to use a product that is commonly added to paint to prevent mold growth. Go the the paint department of your local hardware or home improvement store and ask for the additive that is added to paint to inhibit mold growth. You will want to mix it in water and apply the solution to the area. This should effectively inhibit the growth.
