Rust stains on thassos white marble

Q. I am a fabricator in Chicago and recently installed a thassos white marble kitchen. The countertops have a rust colored stain on them which i have repeatedly tried to take out with poultice. nothing has worked. my question is What can i use to remove the stain? and if i do remove it what sealer can i use to prevent it from happening again? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A. What have you tried using to remove it? Have you tried using Iron Out? I would try an application of Iron Out in a poultice. (Refer to the Stone Care Guide).

After the stain is removed you will need to repolish it and seal it with MB Stonecare MB-4 or another good quality impregnating sealer to prevent it from happening again.
