Q.We purchased a home through a developer. The granite was delivered unsealed. Fortunately, they replaced all of the granite and placed a 3 month sealant on it. It's a rental home. We can't expect the renters to care for our granite. We need a permanment solution, sealant and daily cleaning advice. We will also need enough to cover 60 square feet in 12 Villas. Do you jhave any advie for us? Thank you, Carol Roshto-Smith
A.Hi Carol,
I never heard of a three month sealer. What type of problems did you encounter with the first install?
What type of granite was used?
Besides getting back to me with the other info please do a water test on the countertop.Puddle up a palm sized amount of water in a couple of places and let it sit there for five or ten minutes.Wipe the puddles away and if you have darker spots the granite is porous and needs to be sealed. There are many granites sold that do not need to be sealed as well as many that do.I will be glad to offer up some sound advice once you get back to us.
We are having technical issues with this site regarding replies so please post the info as a second question or send an e-mail mail@stoneshine.com
