Q.Hi, I was told that travertine was very heavy and could pull the paper away from the drywall/greenboard. I plan on travetine from floor to ceiling and want to know what should be used for lifetime performance of the product. Also am planning to have a piece of 1" green onyx (about 2" x 4") on the wall - will this be too heavy for drywall? Thank You!!! Jude

A.Hi Jude,I dont think it will be a problem but I am far from an installation expert.Direct your question to the john bridge forum where you will get a great answer  from contractors who do installs everyday.
