Battery acid spill on flame cut granite

Q.A vendor in our facilty had a lift accident . It toppled over & caused some damage . The batteries landed on a flame cut granite floor & the acid leaked out . For safety reasons ; hours passed before household baking soda was sprinkled on the acid . 25.5 hours later & after machine scrubbing w/ an oxygenated cleaner , we still have visible residue/lighness in the area .
A.Dave-depending on the porousity of the granite you may be able (using a bush hammer or 180 grit honing powder )to remove the damage. Then you may be able to color enhance the stone to darken it even more.
