Bee Stain on White Carrera Marble

Q.Bees invaded our chimney and somehow got through the damper. We covered the fireplace opening with cardboard taped to the carrera 12x12 tile surround and then had to go out of town for a week and a half (death in the family). When we got back, we called someone in to remove the bees. When we took the cardboard back off the surround, we realized that bees had gotten between the cardboard and the marble and had stayed there the entire week and a half. Now there are bright yellow stains of some sort on the carrera. They don't wipe off in any manner. I soaked a papertowel in hydrogen peroxide and placed it on one of the stains, then covered with plastic and left for a couple days -- no change. Any ideas? Would love yoour help! Thanks!!
A.First we are sorry for the delayed response.
Bees can leave nasty stains. The hydrogen peroxide was a good idea but you probably used the standard household
peroxide which is only 3% volume. You will need to use 40% volume in the same manner. It wouldnt be a bad idea to contact a stone refinisher who can use some abrasives to remove the stains possibly.
