Sealing of light colored stones.

I have a light colored "granite" called Juparana Coumbo Gold as a bathroom vanity top. It has been sealed at least 3 times with Miracle 511 "petroleum based" Impregnator. Sprinkling water on it (when washing your hands) turns the stone dark as it soaks in. Should I try sealing again with a heavier application (the last sealing barely turned the stone darker at all) or attempt to remove the Miracle 511 Impregnator with acetone and use a different type of sealer. Thanks, Gordon

Dear Gordon:

Acetone will not remove any impregnator.

That said, your best bet is to consult with the manufacturer on the best course of action by calling their costumer service. If the product didn't seal your stone after 3 applications something is wrong. Maybe it was a bad batch; maybe it is not the right impregnator for that particular stone... No matter what, they should be the most qualified to solve your problem.
