Limestone has stained after sealing

Q. Hi, I have just layed a 25mm thick limestone tile. After it had dried I sealed it with an impregnating sealer using a sponge roller to ensure consistent coverage. However as the floor was seriously uneven and as the tiles were so thick and hard, I used a dot and dab method and made a billiard table out of a very uneven floor. The problem now is that after applying the sealer where the adhesive is the sealer has gone dark giving a spotted effect. My question is should I have used a different sealer as I have never seen this before when using stain stop, or would additional coats of sealer help. Any help would be gratefully received. Dave
Dave-Are you saying that you dot and dabed the floor with
mortar to create a flat floor. No right-I mean you wouldnt have done that would you. Is the floor inside or outside?
How big is this floor? I think the sealer is the least of your problems. Is the floor honed or polished?
Billiard table??
Uneven stone floors can be flattened by mechanical methods.
I dont know what to tell you dave other than call a stone pro to have a look at it.
Good Luck.
